It wasn’t the greatest mystery of the Universe,
Nor the answers I sought; nor the power I wanted.
It rather hit me harshly, like a damned curse,
I haven’t had the time to bolt. I was daunted.
The flash of recognition burned my nerves,
I stumbled, gasped, and God! I strongly doubt it.
Five years have passed. My mind, it still preserves,
The frightening pleasure of the timid wit.
Oh, hell! I know stupidity of longing idly,
Without a realistic chance to even cross the path.
But I am stuck. It’s burning brightly,
A candle that should have died under my wrath.
