Serpent

Oh my joy, let me kneel before you

and cover your coveted petals

with butterfly kisses.

Beloved, your pleasure is my due

marked and sealed by metals

covering thy riches.

Madonna thy light has blinded me

and I blame my foolish heart

for the devastation.

My Goddess, I hope the devil’s glee

upon flaying me for my ill act

will be your satisfaction.

My love, I plea for your kind mercy

as the blood flows out of veins

in a steady current.

Dearest, I was unable to stop the fury

from tearing the frail chains

and cutting the serpent.
