the fury cursing through my veins
racing to the throat and slicing with sharpness
of words that better left unspoken.
The serenity is broken and humour
is used to attack the gullible innocence.
Ignorance would be a bliss
but with a hiss of the poisonous comment
the knowledge descend
and the eyes used to the truthfulness
refuse to look away or take it.
Raise above and break it
or, at least, tame the ravenous beast
and lay at peace.
You’ve chosen to protect,
since killing always came with ease.
