It’s not prudent to assume that dreams come true

Not everyone is a princess nor get a chance to pet a dragon.

There’s no guarantee that “one in a million” is carved for you,

Nor that you will come on top, most likely you’ll fall of the wagon.

The reality in unrelenting bitch, terrific at breaking things,

Till the point when nothing feels right and everything fails;

and I was there, at the bottom trashing and cradling torn wings,

but even then, covered in wounds, I couldn’t stop believing in fairy-tales.
