Unrequited love is an agony
A worm eating the core from inside.
It is a hardship. A cursed malady,
No points to gain, no place to hide.
However, I am not in need of remedy
It’s for the better, I find.
When the heart yearns for entirety,
It’s restricted by shallow sight.
The life doesn’t end nor focuses
on the one blinding soul.
There are ways to enjoy the emotion
without inviting the scorn.
There are many shades to discover
beyond the grips of the despair.
The love, I find, can be boundless
Outside definition of “pair”.
