I’ve found that living as a cynic is easier
Laugh it out before it gets too deep,
and by the day the world around gets slimier
It’s time for guardian angels to weep.
I’ve found that true emotion is a hindrance
dragging you down, like a cursed rock,
and it matters not how innocent is the apperiance,
you very well may find yourself impaled on a cock.
I’ve found a spectacular dirtiness,
right beneath the shining and polished exterior,
and it is not surprising to see a full but lonely fortress
since more doesn’t mean merrier.
I’ve found that life has a harshness,
and the hardships are not even remotely lyrical.
But with a vigorous childish brashness,
I am still fighting for my right to a miracle.
